When using aftermarket 4 or 5-point harnesses in your CAN AM, you will find that the computer system detects when you're not wearing the factory seat belt and will interrupt the ignition, limiting the maximum speed to 15 mph. This is a great safety feature for stock seat belts, but not ideal when you have installed more advanced restraint systems. To address this, a seat belt bypass has been designed to close the open loop system when 4 or 5-point harnesses are installed, allowing you to utilize the full potential of your high-output machine.
This plug-and-play override solution eliminates the hassle of cutting wires - all you need to do is unplug the old and install the new. No wiring or wire cutting is required, making the installation simple and straightforward. This bypass is a necessity for the use of any 4-point or 5-point harness restraints, and only one is needed per vehicle.
The plug-and-play clips make it easy to bypass the safety sensor when the factory seat belt is removed (driver side). There's no need for cutting and splicing; just plug it in, and you're ready to ride.
Manufactured in the USA by Muzzys, this product uses OEM high-temp wire, OEM Delphi-Packard connectors, pins, and seals to ensure a secure, long-lasting, and moisture-free connection. One free zip tie is included.
To install, simply unplug the connector going to the driver's seat belt and plug the jumper into the vehicle harness. Secure it in place with the provided zip tie.
This bypass must be used when installing aftermarket four and five-point harnesses. It works on all CAN-AM models that come standard with the seat belt safety feature, including the Commander, Defender, and Maverick, across all trim levels such as 800 Max X MR ds Turbo rs Xmr Sport RC Trail xc X3, etc. from 2010 and newer.
